All,

Hello.  My name is Vaughan and I live in Northern Virginia.  I have been interested in photography for many, many years.  Although I have owned a number of non-Nikon brands, I have always wanted a Nikon system.  I am not a "techy" person.  Features such as eye-tracking, a gazillion bursts per second, HDR, instant focus and focus points, etc do not interest me.  I recently purchased my first Nikon system:

D3300 - Near mint condition.  A very clean, ding, dent, and scratch free camera.

Nikon DX VR AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6 G II ED lens.  Near mint condition.  A very clean, ding, dent, and scratch free lens.

Nikon DX VR AF-P Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 G lens. Near mint condition.  A very clean, ding, dent, and scratch free lens (Nikon USA refurbished). (The quietness of the focus motor is amazing.)

Since I am familiar with DSLR cameras, the learning curve is short.  I prefer to shoot in aperture priority, shutter pritority, and manual modes.  I hardly ever go to the Auto, P, or scene modes.

I did a lot of research.  Both lens get a high grade and will meet my needs.  Same with the camera.  While not the latest version, it is a sound camera that still gets very good reviews.
