Hi, I wonder if anyone else has this issue. D500 and SB-5000 speedlight.

Using aperture priority, auto ISO and 1/500 minimum shutter speed.

With the flash off, when light is diminished the normal happens. I.e. shutter speed stays at 500 and ISO increases.

However, with flash turned on the ISO stays at 100 and the shutter speed decreases. Not what I want. Flash has auto ISO on and in TTL FP mode.

Pics of top screen attached.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I don't see any images.  Flash sync is max of 1/250 if I recall.  I rarely use flash.

Correct, but with the HSS, the SB 5000 can got much higher.
