I like to have tea or coffee when post processing; I would not,

however, put down the cup right in front of me.

Starting a post processing session yesterday, my sweet daugh-
ter prepared me an Earl Grey like only her has the secret. She
was moving to put it in front of me as I was going to insert the
XQD card in the reader. Our hands met somewhere and, of cour-
se, the XQD went for a short but very warm swim. COMMOTION!

I quickly got it out of there doing the best I could to get the wa-
ter out and dry the diver.

After what felt like an adrenaline rush, I dared put it in the reader:
no signal! sad.png  Pulled it out, shook it some more, and try again. sad.png
I repeated two more times and it did popup on the desktop.

The job was safe as the SD backup card was still in the camera
and the XQD read the files so I could proceed. I hope it is good… I
shall see in the very near future.

My most expensive cup of coffee cost me about £150 - I spilled it over the keyboard of my Macbook Pro and most of the keys stopped working. That is not really a repair job for a non-professional, you basically have to take it to pieces since you go in from the bottom. so I ended up paying for a pro service to do it.

My previous iBook G4 had a user-replaceable keyboard, cost about a tenner when they were still available, and I swapped it a couple of times, but it got pretty much unsustainable once Apple dropped support for their older processors - by the time I switched it was about three years since the last security update.

Surround the card with dry rice for a few days...I've seen that bring back various electronics..
