Shoot tethered and read the distance information in the EXIF.
Like Jerry, I don't understand what you need the information for.
The DOF calculators are guesstimations as there is no way to measure the CoC and it is dependent on so many factors.
Using the GN and distance to decide flah exposure isn't an exact science either as the ambient light level and reflecting surfaces *will* throw your calculations off.
