Godox Ving V350N is a good starter unit. It is fully TTL on any digital Nikon and is a part of the Godox wireless X system. The V860 has a higher guide number and outputs more light, but costs a bit more. It is a good idea to start out with a wireless trigger system that works with studio strobes as well as speedlights to avoid having to buy twice.

Thanks Peter. I had gotten a recommendation for the V860, and it’s not beyond my price range. Think I may opt for 2 units, and build from there.

Thinking of buying 2 V860 units and pairing with a Godox XProN TTL Wireless trigger. Thoughts?

The XPro is much easier to use than the X-1 when you want to remote control manual flash.
Manual everything with flash leads to a much greater understanding of light and will make you a better, more consistent photographer quickly. TTL works well, but manual usually gives more balanced results when you have learnt how it works in different situations.
That combo should serve you well for years, until you want to step up to light measured in joules instead of guide numbers. It is a very nice set.
