Hi,

I'm planning to switching from other brand of DSLR camera. What is the correct intermediate model in Nikon?

The D5000 ("prosumer") or D7000 ("advanced") series would be the go-to.  I'd recommend looking at the last 1-2 models in each line.

first of all what camera brand where you using. to me best option is D7200 since do not make any more and can get it cheap with kit lens bundle if look. to me D5000 sires body do not have motor in body or have low light senor. but makes great start or beginner body. but with D7200 get 2 card lost better frame rate per second and low light senor and motor in body if you get lens or lenses that need motor in body. i would go with D7200 or baby version of D500 and get D7500.
