Why do you want to switch system? Switching or running more than one system is an expensive way of doing things.

That said, what does the budget need to cover? What lens(es) do you need? The body is the cheap part for studio work as you won't need the latest AF or low noise at high ISO. This means that you won't lose quality by going used. Mid range is too sweeping, do you need FX or will DX do? Do you need to change settings on the fly or is a menu-driven approach better for your use?

Why do you want to switch system?

That is the very first point… the system. In fact, all my
subsequent decisions were consequent to the system
selection. But how to choose a good system when one
has no idea?

I have chosen the Nikon system and never looked back.
From 14 to 600 mm, from ƒ1.4 to ƒ2.8 it is all in there but
you have to start with an adequate system and stick to it.
Nothing is worse than a multiple system approach.

What subjects do you intend to shoot? How large is the studio? What lighting will you be using? These factors will decide what lenses you need.

You list two Nikon bodies in your profile as being in your camera bag - not sure if those are what you are considering or if you already have them.  Let us know what cameras / lenses you already have / use and we might be able to save you some money or at least help you spend it with good information.
