I read rave reviews about this lens. I haven't had any luck with it yet. My shots seem to be overexposed. Any advice will be appreciated. I'm just getting started. I have the D3500 kit.

35mm 1.8 prime lens question.

is this dx version or full frame one. dx is great starter prime lens along with 50mm lens. can not go wrong.

Hello,
Could you post some pictures WITH the EXIF information included. That would help to find the issue.
Is the 35mm the only lens that causes this problem?
There are different parameters in the settings that can cause a longer than needed exposure, depending on the scene you are photographing (fi Active D-Lighting) while good at other times
