I have a Sigma 18-200 Contemporary lens for my Nikon D7100.  I made the mistake of setting it up as a non-CPU lens, when it isn't.  It's perfectly compatible with my camera.

How do I "delete" the non-CPU lens in my menu, returning it to a "normal" lens?

If the body finds a CPU in the mounted lens, it overrides any non-CPU setting.

Thanks very much.  Cheers.
