What computer do you use?

I use one of 3 depending on what I am doing. For just what I call "darkroom" work (level adjustment, cropping, etc), I use a Macbook Pro. I have yet to find a better monitor (for the money) than Mac's Retina display. For job requiring a great deal of processor power, like HDR or stitched panoramics, I use a Dell Covet Precision 6700 laptop. For fine detail work or graphic design work requiring a lot of image manipulation (like superimposing images into other images, selective colorization, cutting/dodging), I like to use a Wacom Cintiq Companion Tablet. I find the stylus easier to use in those situations.
What computer(s) do you use/prefer for processing your work?

Completely home crafted 4.5ghz AMD over clocked, 16Gb ddr4, Ati Radeon HD with 2gb internal also over clocked, several sata drives, and a 32inch LCD TV as my monitor....sweet as f@@&! does everything I need apart from launch a space shuttle. LOL!
Are you sure it won't do that?

Home built PC, about 5 years old now but it still zips through most of what I want, especially since I bit the bullet & reinstalled everything I need from scratch. Paintshop Pro in 64 bit keeps me using it. Twin monitors, Huey calibration, More harddiscs than I know what to do with. Lightroom for catalog and the other stuff it does well. Not sure whether to build in some new bigger disks in RAID or to build a new system, but that's probably a year away.

MacBook Pro Retina...plenty of external storage and an external DVD writer when needed...Eventually I'll add one or more quality monitors, but the Retina is doing fine for now, partly because I'm using it at multiple locations frequently...

MacBook Pro Hi-res matte with a quad-core i7 and 8 GB of ram. No internal superdrive anymore, substituted with a SSD drive for OS and software. A bit over three years now, but don't feel old yet... A Retina wold be nice, but I just can't justify it. I am still on Snow Leopard, but I am thinking of upgrading the OS to be able to upgrade to Lightroom 5.

iMac 27 inch. I love the screen size for editing photos because I can arrange the palettes I am working with around the photo.
I have an iMac 27 inch, bought it as a refurb product from Apple. It is great for doing stuff with photos as you mentioned, room to spread about.

Like Tony892, I use an iMAC 27" bought from Apple refurb store. I would strongly advise anyone looking for iMAC to consider the refurb store. I ordered mine as 27" 3.2Ghz i5 with 8GB RAM and 3TB SATA drive with 1GB nVidia graphic card and Apple delivered 27" 3.4Ghz i7, 16Gb RAM with 2GB nVidia graphic card with the 3Tb SATA drive. I knew a person who worked in an authorised Apple repairer company who told me they very often send out higher spec machines than what is ordered, which is why I went this route and got very lucky; it simply depends on what they have in stock at the time and they will never send a lower spec machine from what you order.

Went from MacBook Pro to windows 8.1 vaio and back to apple with the imac in the last couple of days.
Of the three the imac is best for me. Lovely large screen, fantastic display, very quick and an interface that feels like the whole thing is designed for photographers.
I opted for the large touchpad instead of a mouse - fantastic decision. Very accurate and great for editing.
The MBP and the imac are close in features but the imac wins for me due to bigger display, faster and more comfy to use.
