A friendly gull

I had a pair of herring gulls nesting on my top floor balcony for five years, and took lots of pfotos of them and their chicks with my D80. The guy who owns the freehold lives downstairs and objected to the mess on his car, so removed the nest and put obstacles on the balcony to discourage them. Anyway, I've got lots of photos on Flickr:
They were quite friendly and I helped them by rescuiing the chicks on a few occasions - falling out of the nest and once, getting a leg tangled in some twine that was also tangled in a weed.

We met this gull during our vacation
The presence of an apparent grey film over the images reveals that a
DRL tweak would be beneficial — bringing up details and tonal range.

I guess it doesn't mean "Doesn't Look Right"? :-)
No (lol), I said
DRL = Dynamic Range Levels = black and white points setting.
I imported your jpg into my converter and got very cool results.

who is right?
The difficulty is that no one is!!!
Colour perception is not absolute but relative to the viewer's
memory and skills… and good taste.
Ultimately, YOU should be happy with the shot as my input
only meant to ring a bell!
