When my P1000 is fully extended and in focus, when you take the picture, it comes out blurry. I am using a remote, so I am not touching the camera. Any suggestions?

It could be many things.  Can you post an example along with the EXIF Information (Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO) of the example shot?  That will help us figure out what is happening.

What and where were you shooting? At max zoom (3000mm), atmospheric conditions can raise hell with IQ.

+1.

If you were using at full extension, it is very difficult to
capture sharp picture handheld.
