Has anyone used the micro cards in their DSLR Nikons? Just wondering if we can use a 64G SanDisk Micro SDXC UHS-I Extreme Pro card in the D7500 or D5100 when inserted into the adapter that comes with them? I have recently noticed that when using the 32G SD version of that card my D7500 will shoot at 10fps instead of 8.

The extra contacts in the bus path tend to give reliability problems when you try to push things with a camera or reader with a fast transfer speed. The adapter is better suited for transferring data to a device with an SD port than for writing to the card as you can do the transfer again if the files get corrupted. There is no second chance when capturing photos or video.

No. I've read two different reports online that using a micro SD card with an adapter is NOT recommended for camera use.
