Nikon P1000 self timer on as default

Hi,

My Nikon P1000 sets itself to 3 second self timer as a default on start up. I may have changed a menu item, but can't find/remember what.

I have to turn off the self timer every time I take a photo and it's getting old really quickly. Could someone point the way?

Hi - woah this is long ago, but was it ever sorted? my P1000 also has the self timer automatically on at 3 seconds and if I turn it off and stay shooting it's it's stays off, but as soon as I turn the camera off, and back on again (to safe battery), there it is again, and then I lose the moment!!!! GRRRRRRRRrrrrrr any ideas???
