Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 7 July 2019, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

Hope we'll see some fireworks images from those of you who are in the US!

Thanks to Bengan for putting up last week's thread, and happy to see the return of Nicole. It's kind of a "boys club" around here when she's away.  :)

I photographed another track event on Thursday, July 4th.

Cool capture Mark!  :P

By the shadow, I can see that the Sun was having fun too
but the mid tone taming takes away a bit of its presence.

Thanks! It was not only bright but very hot. I shot 5000+ photos between 7am and 5pm that day.

I just noticed Nicole's suggestion for fireworks photos so I'll add this one:

You heard me when I said that "nothing is more
boring than a blue sky"?  … dramatic! :P

Ha ha! Thanks, Mark! I would never begrudge boys their club, but it's nice to be part of the community. I suppose it's really only a semi-return because I'm not shooting much these days. Really good work, btw. Love those fireworks! Looks like you got to see a good show.
