Charging S3000

Hello , my Coolpix S3000 has been perfect for years but now does not seem to want to take a charge . I have tried 3 different batteries in it , the yellow light flashes for about 5 minutes and looks  like its charging thenstops . I assume its charged but does not even say battery exhausted or open lens .Any ideas ,I am loathed to buy yet another battery .
