I have to admit your subspecies is sexier and possibly

easier to photograph because it is lighter… well done!

Mine are Grey Herons, how is yours called?

I understood the Great blue was an American species, ours are normally lighter on the neck though some do show a slght sign of being darker

So that makes your posted one a Great Blue or a Grey?

I see more and more differences between or respective
posting.

I'm not a birder for sure but I don't get how two
very different bird may have the same name!
