Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 2 June 2019, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

Model: NIKON D750
Lens (mm): 55 (MicroNikkor 55/3.5 Ai)
ISO: 11400
Aperture: 11
Shutter: 1/60
Picture Control: [VI]Vivid

I am exploring the limits for the new body and shooting macro in available light is always a good exercise. I am getting to know the D750 and will hopefully post a bit more going forward.

For the more musically inclined, the subject is part of a Shaller roller bridge for my next guitar.

Wow Peter. Your ability to get sharp images at very high ISO always impresses me.

I'm submitting two this week because the subjects/genres are so different - my best bird photo and my best racing photo for this week:

i-GBs487Z-XL.jpg

D500, Sigma 500mm f/4 Sport @ f/4, 1/2000", ISO 100, about 50% crop

810_0520-XL.jpg

D810, Sigma 500mm f/4 Sport @ f/5, 1/400", ISO 64

Wow--I'm liking what I'm seeing from the Sigma lenses, sunshine and Bengt. Are you both pretty happy with them?

And Peter and Bengt--thanks for including your settings. I'm working on getting to know my macro lens better, so it's helpful to see what settings you both use. Different lenses, of course, but it's still helpful to see how you're getting such successful images.

Really strong work from everyone this week. Thanks for playing!

I'm very happy with my Sigma (and Tamron) lenses. The 105 is a relatively low cost lens (not weather sealed). In fact I almost never buy camera brand lenses (Nikon or Pentax). When it comes to price/performance, I think that as for an amateur/enthusiast you can't beat Sigma's or Tamron's latest releases.

Yes! The 500mm Sport is heavy but not unmanageable. The results (when I do my part correctly) make the weight a non-issue.
