I last used the camera end of last August, I think. Was working fine then. Tried picking it up the other day, didn't work. Assumed the battery just needed charging. Charged the battery and tried again. Still nothing. Tried looking up solutions already but couldn't find anything.

Do you get any reaction like flashing LEDs, when you reinsert the battery and try to turn on the camera? Or if you remove and reinsert the memory card?

If not, the battery might have completely broken down. If you have a store nearby, maybe you can try out a replacement battery there before buying it.

And welcome to the forums!

I also own a D3400 that will not turn-on. Tried recharging battery, new battery, and new charger. Did not work. Followed advice on another site on removing battery, card, and making sure camera is off before inserting battery. Camera is only about 2 years old, not much use. Will try cleaning battery and battery slot next.
