I searched first and only found one post on this topic.  I have a D750 and want to set up interval shooting for star trails.  I set the camera to shoot 120 frames with a one second interval between shots.  The camera seemed to start fine and would shoot six or seven frames and then stop.  I'm wondering if the one second interval is too short.  I plan to try several different settings out on the patio to see if I can get it to work but I thought I'd ask the experts first.

My settings were 20 seconds shutter speed, f2.2, iso3200.

Isn't the interval between exposure starts, not between end and start? I think that for 20 s single exposures, the interval needs to be 21 s to get a 1 s gap between the exposures. I am not sure if that is correct and I always have to check how it works before I go out and use it.

Thank you folks.  I will mess around with your suggestions and the YouTube video and get it figured out.  Sure appreciate it!
