Saying hello from a new Nikon user.  I recently got a Nikon D7100 with a couple of lenses.  I have a question regarding the 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro Nikkor.  I keep a database of my camera equipment with things like Item Name, Date Acquired, and Serial Number, etc.  I have been unable to find the serial number on my new used 60 2.8D AF micro.  Does anyone know where Nikon has hidden the serial number?  Any help would be appreciated.

Yes and old lenses may have them worn out by the
effect of repetitive and abrasive manipulations!

… and welcome here too! :)
