Dear All,

I have issue with D500 (With a 50mm 1.8 Lens) during Video

Mostly i try street videos, and I have constant issue with focus hunting

Is there any flat setting where we can keep a flat focus and take videos?

Kindly help me, new here

Thanks

Kannan

I am afraid Nikon DSLR continuous autofocus in video is pretty poor. The reason is that it uses a rather rudimentary contrast detect focus algorithm instead of the advanced phase detection system used for stills.

You'd be much better using a mirrorless model like the Z6 that has phase detect points on the sensor.

You would probably have more success using manual focus for video with this lens and camera.
