Magpies seems to be taboo for me… as much as I admire
them, they seem to escape my attempt to capture them.

Could that be to do with the environment, the areas i get them in are well used by humans.

Dunno! The marsh is at 2 km from the city… village!

It could be then, both the sites i am limited to now are frequented by a lot of people, in fact a couple of years ago my wife was feeding cornflakes to the ducks and a young magpie flew across the lake and landed on my head.
