I drove down to Waco in early February on a day when the weather was more like late spring/early summer rather than winter - blue skies and temperature in the low 80s. I walked along the bank of the Brazos River between the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum (across the river from Baylor University's McLane Stadium) and the historic Waco suspension bridge, taking pictures along the way.
It was my first field trip toting the P1000 attached to my new BlackRapid Classic Retro (RS4) camera strap. It turned out to be a much better option than hanging the P1000 around my neck with its included strap.
I was mainly interested in the historic suspension bridge.

I was also eager to see the bronze statuary, "Branding the Brazos", placed at the bridge's southwestern entrance.
