Nikon D200 body with AF Nikkor 55~200mm, VR, ED, DX Lens.

1/60, F/5, ISO 100, Manual Exposure Mode, Used Built-in Flash, F/L 125mm and used CWA Metering.

Thanks for viewing.

Notes:  Because of the harsh sunlight, I used a Hoya CPL Filter which is why I used the flash fill in.  I think it turned out rather well.  I hope you fine folks enjoy it. :)

I think the chosen shooting strategy was counter-productive
as the resulting image, though rendering fair FG, forced the
capture of blown whites on the bridge and in the sky.

I think exposing for the bridge — and no CPL — adding fill in
flash would have been better… but I doubt the onboard flash
could be powerful enough for this exercise, Tony.

I did expose for the bridge and no CPL and it was way underexposed in the front.  That is why I chose to use the fill in flash only in front of me.  I wasn't expecting to brighten up the entire scene with only the built-in flash.  You are correct, this exercise was a tricky one and those are the ones we learn from the most.  I may even go back and try a few more things and see how it goes.  Once again, many thanks for you insightful assistance.

Cheers,
