Hi,

does any use d850 with an old Nikon 70-200 vr 1 lens?

can it be used on d850? I heard it has problem with vr turned on

I don't have your camera and wish I had that lens but recently a few of the folks here were talking about how they rarely if ever use the VR function especially when it's on a tripod as it can cause the sharpness to fall off.

I would try to get something better matched to the D850 than the D2 era 70-200. Even if the vignetting is easily corrected in post, the corners are softer than the version II. I don't know how the early VR works on the D850, but the optical performance of the II is worth lots.
