Hi there, I recently acquired a Nikon 20mm f1.8 lens and all seemed okay until I noticed on bright sunny days that the corners are blown out when the sun is behind me. Never noticed on any other occasion, just recently. It's 2nd hand but in the last month all seemed okay but seems like a regular occurrence on sunny days. I've attached a couple of files as an example.

Are you using any filters/hood when shooting? I'm a bit surprised one of the more experienced shooters hasn't answered your question.

A hood would produce a negative vignetting, not a positive one.

To me. it looks more like a polarising effect due to wrongly chosen
— or ignored — Sun incidence.
