I just got my Z7 with the FTZ lens adapter. Love it so far. It will be a great companion to my D850.

My only complaint is: I find the Mode selector dial a little clumsy to use. You have to hold down the little button in the middle of the dial before you can turn it to the desired mode. It's awkward to select a mode using one hand.

I have a Sony point-n-shoot that has a similar mode dial. It doesn't have a centre button. You simply turn the dial with your thumb. The dial has a definite detent for each selection which locks the dial in place. Much easier to use. Maybe in the next version of Z.

I wish I could give some feedback! I rented the Z7 when it came out on LensRental and I cannot really recall its layout and use. Next time I hole one in hand I will be sure to look out for this.

I very much prefer solid locks on anything that can move. I don't find them difficult to operate one-handed, but that might be because i am used to them. That said, I like a mode button combined with the control wheel even better.
