Peter's recent monochrome challenge sparked an interest for me in black and white photography.  I have processed quite a few since then.  Yesterday I decided to take a different approach and dug up my old Olympus E-M10 camera.  If you're not familiar, it's a 16 megapixel, micro four thirds, mirrorless, interchangeable lens camera.  I set it up to capture both raw and jpg, then set picture control to monochrome.  The day was bright and sunny with few clouds so I selected the red filter option.  Here's a few examples of the .jpg photos providing a small "snapshot" of Culpeper, Virginia.

A great b&w series!

So, if I understand correctly, these are straight out of the camera?

Remarkable!

Not quite.  I brought them into Lightroom for the usual highlight and shadow tweak but that was about it.  They were not converted to black and white in Lightroom.

Thanks.  My favorite of the day, as well.
