Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 24 February 2019, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

The weather here in South Jersey has been too nasty to get out much but Thursday was an exception. A quick trip to the wildlife refuge found lots of ducks and geese. Here is my favorite.

and on an iPhone

When we go for our daily walks I don't always carry the camera as it gets heavy by the end of a few miles, but the iPhone slips right in to the pocket..

I think this one is my best for this week.  I had a day off on Monday and it was relatively warm (50 degrees F) so we went to the lake for our 2019 inaugural boat ride.

It knows how to fly, for sure.

A Heron… but which one, Mark?

As far as I know we only see Great Blue Herons around here.  We have seen egrets, ospreys, and once a bald eagle at the lake.  These herons are year-round residents, although their number grows in the spring.  Here's a shot of the same bird right before taking flight.

There were a couple of contenders but I think I’ll settle for this one...

Lots of beautiful birds this week--wow! And some striking land and cityscapes! Thanks for the inspiration, guys. Someday I will find time to get my camera out again...
