Hi all, just joined the forum. I'm not a pro shooter nor will I be, but intend to improve over time. I'm new to both Nikon and DSLRs but was fairly proficient with 35mm in the past.
I've just acquired a D3200 with kit 18- 55 lens and I'll see what it can do, following any tips and hints I can glean from here.

Welcome to the forums!
You will probably find the pentamirror finder in the D3200 quite a bit inferior to what you used in the film days, but it works once you have got used to it.
The 18-55 is remarkably good and it will take quite a while before you grow out of it in the focal lengths it covers.
If you have any questions, just ask. Most of us are willing to share ideas and advice.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll get some pics up once I'm convinced that they are worthy.

What kind of bad shot of mine would trigger
an "I feel good" kind of post from your part?

One in which the subject cannot be discerned?
...or an accidental shot of your foot, if wearing socks with sandals :-)
I see your kind… setting the bar very high!
