Heigh years…?
Plenty of time to spoil both the lens or the sensor.
Check if both are clear of anything like fungi!

OK, this is out of anything I have experienced
or have seen… I am clueless!
First thing I would suggest is to reinstall the firmware.

I have never seen anything like this either... Have you checked that the lens and sensor are clean? Don't forget to open the aperture so you can see inside the lens. If that is the case, try another memory card and format it in the camera.

Right, I am sure it has nothing to do with the lens
…but still clueless, sorry!

Not that I can think of sorry, its to bad there is no camera repair in your local area. Is there at least a camera sales store maybe they can at least give you some advice.

Well, you had to download the image to something before uploading it here. It's not a direct post straight from the camera, is it? I'm not suggesting that you processed the image in any way but, sometimes, software can introduce artifacts of their own. Otherwise, I'm with the others and don't have a clue.

Have you done a full reset to default values (factory reset) of the camera? If not, this is where I would start with
https://seventrumpet...90-dslr-camera/
While this describes the two button reset, there is also the possibility to do a factory reset using the menu.
Could you take the same picture using RAW and see what it gives?
Beyond possible technical problems, what I find strange is how the light contours are next to the pole. It could be the sensor, but it could also be the compression to JPG.
Another possibility could be the battery, no longer delivering the power that the sensor needs to operate properly. What does the meter on the LCD screen says for freshly charged battery?
From previous messages I do understand that this picture has been copied directly from the SD card? No software in the middle?
As I said in the beginning of this post: I am guessing ...

As you shoot in raw, you have to use a raw converter to see the photo. What converter do you use?
Do you use a cable or a card reader to get the files off the camera?
