D50 memory card

whats the biggest memory card that will work in my D50 as i am struggling to find 1 gb cards or smaller and will only sandisc, panasonic or toshiba cards work

It can't handle SDHC, so 2 GB is the limit.

I remember something about using 4 GB cards back in the day, but I think they had to be formatted on a computer to 2 GB.

Any quality card will work, the approved list only covers the few that Nikon tried.


It might have been that the 4 GB SD (not SDHC) cards worked to full capacity when formatted FAT 32, but the camera can only format FAT 16. It was a long time ago...
