I have just purchased an Altura Wireless Trigger for Nikon for my Nikon D5500. For some reason when I push the trigger the camera starts taking a video instead of taking a picture. I have no idea why is that happening and if there is a setting to change that. I don't see anything online about that nor in the manual.

Any Help will be greatly appreciated.

I don’t have that camera or trigger so I don’t know if this video will help you.

Thanks Fletch for your reply...Yes I have seen this video but according to it by default the camera should be taking pictures, not a video!!!

I have also tried to reset all the settings on the camera to defaults and that also didn't help. I have also used a second Altura Wireless Trigger but the behavior is still the same :(

I'm sorry that didn't help, I'm at a loss on what else to do.
