We got a granddaughter a D5600 kit which includes a Digital Concepts 319AF flash.

We've used other DSLR cameras with optional flashes for several years but this is our first try with this particular camera and this flash.

I frequently can't get it to flash at all and when it does it appears to have significantly overexposed the image. I can't seem to find any detailed instructions in the manual I downloaded for the camera and can't find ANY instructions online for the flash.

Can anyone point me to a manual or tutorial for this camera/flash combination to assist in getting flash photography top work for her.

Thanks.
