I think you are very well off to a good start. Nice shots.

Suiggestions:

Straighten the horizon on number 2 and 3. Second one is a brilliant idea. Just might get a little better cropped

Welcome @Fabs23,

My proposls for the three pictures that you posted:

- first picture: nice picture with a good guide for the eye to follow the perspective. I would crop the picture, loosing part of the left side and the sky, but having the pier in the center. Likely some minor leveling needed

- second picture: good idea with the glass ball, it gives the eye the object to focus on. Defintely some leveling needed, eventually also some changes lifting the shadows and working on the whitebalance. Ideally the camera would have been hold slightly higher, so that the horizon in the ball matches the general horizon.

- third picture: you must have had an amazing sky, which you tried to capture. However this is difficult to translate through this picture. So while the picture remembers YOU the mood that you felt when taking the capture, others don‘t have this souvenir. The picture would have been interesting if you had some object (glass ball as in #2, dominant light tower, etc.) which focusses the viewers eye; also some leveling needed.

Actions like cropping, levelling, working on the shadows or the white balance can be easily done with many different software in post processing.

PS: there is also a „critique“ section ( Critique - NikonForums.com ) here on the forum, where people would feel more at ease for positively commenting your captures ;)
