D200 and F mount lenses

Hi,

        It says here

that the D200 accepts F mount lenses

 

and here 

Nikon Camera and Lens Compatibility Chart

 

that it doesn't.

 

Which one is right?

Both sites are correct.

 

F-mount, yes.

Non-Ai, NO!

 

The F-mount itself is unchanged since 1959 but cameras with Ai coupling will be damaged if you mount lenses from before the Ai era unless the aperture ring has been modified with an Ai notch.
