If you are not familiar with this form of motorsport, Drifting is defined by Wikipedia as "a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, with loss of traction in the rear wheels or all tires, while maintaining control and driving the car through the entirety of a corner."  Basically that means they drive sideways through turns.  In competitions one of the categories that contestants are judged on is showmanship.  For motorsport fans, that all translates to an exciting event with lots of action.  These photos are from the final event of the year for Drift Nirvana.

My favorite shot of the day belongs in the abstract category.  I think it captures the feeling of the event with lots of motion, action, and smoke.  :)

I enjoy watching this on the tele and had no real idea how they do this.

I have been bush bashing but never had to car going this distand side ways.

they are incredible divers and I really like the zoned in shot od the wheel throwing off the smoke.
