I want a remote lens release like the Nikon ML-L3 for my new D3500.  This is my first Nikon since leaving Canon and I am still a beginner.  Please Help.

The D3500 doesn't have any way of connecting a remote shutter release AFAIK. Your only option is to use Snapbridge.

You could look into this

KAISER 6154 CABLE RELEASE ADAPTER BELT FOR SLR DSLR BRIDGE CAMERAS | eBay

If you want to use a longer release than a normal cable with it this is old school

KOOD PROFESSIONAL AIR SHUTTER RELEASE PNEUMATIC 20' 6 METER REMOTE SHUTTER NEW | eBay

Not ideal but i cant think of any other way
