Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 18 November 2018, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

What… my cute camel was not enough? You want more?

Insatiable lady you are… but if it keeps you your shining smile!

I'll have a look later! :P

This is from yesterday and I thought to call it… "A bird was here!"

Possibly the worst bird shot ever… I was not after a bird but a smile!

ISO 320, 1/1000s, Ć’8, 600mm / D850.

Prairie Warbler

ISO500, 1/640 sec, f/6.3, 500mm

Tiny twitchy bird.  I have attempted this shot many times and finally got one to remain still just long enough for me to get an image.

I was looking forward to posting a race track photo today but the event was canceled.  Instead I went to the local Holiday Open House and Christmas tree lighting event in town with my wife.

So I'm going way back to November 17th...first chance I've had to post the images even though I processed them immediately...

The first ever "Johnston County's Hootenanny" was held on the 17th and I grabbed a few images...it was after days of rain so there were some rather muddy areas to be avoided.  Unfortunately, we had our first "really cold" weather (for here) so we didn't end up staying as long as we would have liked.  In any case, I got a few images I thought worked out pretty well...

See - it really was a Hootenanny :)

The opening solo act is one of our local favorites:

Our favorite local brewery was also there providing adult beverages:

And, the final act that we got to see...Don't let his short sleeve shirt fool you...it was in the 40s(F) by the time we left.  Not really cold, but with wind and several hours out there it really started to feel cold once the sun went down.

Good news is I'm working with the folks who put it on to plan next year's earlier and to do some additional photography work for them moving forward.
