Unfortunately, this seems to be turning into a rare occurrence, but I actually have some photos to share this week (I have some from the previous week too but haven't had time to process them.) I was tasked with making a photographic record of our staff at work, so I went to many of their offices and cubicles and tried to get them while working on something besides a computer. I was a bit lazy and didn't do anything special with the light--maybe I'll get around to it as I capture the rest of them next week, eh? (But probably not...)
Both photos were taken with the D810 and Nikkor 24-70mm. Settings were virtually the same for both--f/2.8, 1/160, ISO 1000. The only difference was focal length--36mm for the woman, and 40mm for the man.

bill, that is a beautiful scene--you caught those rays perfectly! "Anticrepuscular" is a new term for me since I've only previously known and used "crepuscular"--very cool to see and know!!!
Mark, love the detail and the action. I checked out your Flickr--looks like you gave that Sigma 500 a real workout. I'm not sure how you chose a favorite because there are so many wonderful images to choose from. Also, is the D500 new? Haven't noticed you shooting with it before.
Ah, Peter--that soft highlight is so perfect...wonderful and eye-catching without being blown out or losing one bit of detail. It's been so fun to see your Telecaster come together.
Tony, I really enjoy the light and shadow in your image, along with the detail in the petals. I shot some flowers a couple weeks ago in your honor--I don't know if I'll post them in the best photo of the week thread though. Still not up to par!
Thanks for sharing these wonderful images--I so enjoy seeing what you are all up to. I hope to rejoin you in the photography world, but it may not happen anytime soon... Peter has given me excellent advice about shooting more and suggestions to help me remember I'm a photographer, but alas, life and reality interfere with my best-laid plans. I think I need a project to focus on. Hm...
