This weekend long master class was made of four 4hour sessions:

  1. Friday evening — early dinner and artistic intent seminar
  2. Saturday morning — too early breakfast and 1st shooting session
  3. Saturday mid afternoon — 2nd shooting session
  4. Sunday morning — early breakfast and post processing seminar

The task: select a bird specie present at the marsh and stick with it; ob-

serve it and learn it behaviours, study the light conditions.

The keepers must be very different in terms of capture, treatment and

artistic intent.

I won't have the chance to see my students results but these are some

of my weekend takes…

Very nice. The light was especially gorgeous. All of these images are lovely but I especially like image #2 (from the top).

Thank you, Ron! :P

The light:

during the shooting sessions, I could only see the little

screens behind the cameras and I saw how difficult it

was for them to see the right light and right moments to

capture for optimal effect.

this is one of the reasons of my success with the publish-

ers; I am not a birder — but a photographer — and do not

want to document birds for themselves but within their en-

vironment. Environmental bird shots that leave lots of room

for layout options for the publishing market.
