Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 14 October 2018, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

Model: NIKON D7200
Lens (mm): 35 (AF-S NIKKOR 35/1.8G ED)
ISO: 560
Aperture: 3.5
Shutter: 1/60
Picture Control: [VI]Vivid

To shoot this, I rigged the camera on a tripod and used the interval timer to let the camera shoot 2 shots every 10s as I drilled the hole. I could have rigged a remote, but I needed two hands to hold the piece of metal in place and operate the drill press at the same time. I haven't made a foot- or mouth-operated remote for the D7200 yet.

The day was uncommonly warm with some very harsh sunlight.  I thought, well I have a lens hood and a Hoya CPL filter in use, so I should be okay shooting these conditions.  My word, was I wrong.  The flowers looked absolutely beautiful, however, the sunlight truly wreaked havoc with my shots.  Overall it worked out quite well with a lot of Post Photo Editing.

This result was the best I was able to do, so hope all you fine folks enjoy this one.

Thanks so much for viewing.
