Hi all.

On my Nikon D850 all my photographs have dark edges on left and right hand sides.
1.This only happen in Matrix metering mode
2. And from F1.8 to F5
3. Lensesi tested with was Nikon 50mm prime, Nikon 24-300 and Sigma 24-70
All FX lenses

Is there something wrong with sensor ?

Thank you
Daniel

Can you post examples with EXIF data?  That can help us diagnose the issue...

1st I don't have your camera so forgive me if this is a silly question. The 850 has a Crop Mode would shooting in Crop Mode cause the problem you are having?

I do have that camera and that was also my thought:

— maybe the in-camera crop is on square? :P

Not, that would actually solve the problem, but introduce other problems like not using the camera to its potential

Are you using filters? If so what kind?

Is the hood on correctly?

Can you post an example?

I recently did that on purpose to try and shield the lens on the side from city lights and it did leave dark edges on both sides, I forgot about that.
