Oh, wow! Thank you for posting this!

I see the 90mm is on the list...that lens is on my wish list and slightly more in my price range than the 24-70 or 70-200...although I hope to get those at some point.

Thanks for the list of reductions, but don't think they are available in the UK and given my recent outlays, don't think buying another lens at this time it is an option for me. What sort of images or shots would you intend to use the 90mm for?

It's a macro lens, and I don't have one yet.

I've been looking at a 90mm for some time. Might be time to get it.

is this USA only or is it worldwide. Will need to have a look and see. Would love the 90mm Macro.

This is USA only.  If you are in the USA and buy from Canada, for example, it would be considered a "gray market" lens and not subject to this rebate.  I recently bought both the 24-70 and the 70-200.  The 24-70 was from Canada, so no rebate, but it was only $909 shipped.

HI,

I was considering a Tamron 150-600MM . The only lens that is missing in my lens kit.

I have a really great Nikkor AFS-DX VRII 70-300 lens that I don't believe the Tamron is close on sharpness and focus speed.

But for birding, you really need at least 400MM to get close up shots in flight. The Nikkor 80-400MM was just too expensive. And the Tele-Converter too expensive as well.

I successfully purchased a Tokina 100MM 2.8 Macro lens for $500 to save about $400 compared to the Nikkor 105MM.

And I was not sorry. This lens is the Sharpest in my lens kit. Check it out-attached.

Just when I was about to try the Tamron, Nikon has come out with a reported superb 200-500MM for about $1600.

I am now hinting to everyone what I want for Christmas. (Wishful Thinking).

My 2 Cents.
