Hi,
I'm looking for a lens hood for AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm and the search showed Nikon HB-34 or HB-69. Which one is the right hood for my lens? Also, what's the difference between round and bayonet hood?
Thanks!

Which version of the AF-S 18-55 do you have, exactly? There have been 4 different versions of this lens since 2005, 2 with stabilisation and 2 without. The non-VR versions use either the HB-33 or HB-45, the first VR version uses the HB-45 and the VR II uses the HB-69. AFAIK, the HB-33 and HB-45 are interchangeable and can be used on any version except the VR II. To complicate things further, the AF-P versions have a larger filter thread and use he HB-N106.
The HB-69 has a conventional bayonet mount as it needs to be locked in a certain orientation not to cause vignetting. The HB-33 and HB-45 snap into a groove on the lens barrel as there are no cutouts in the hood. It is a bit confusing that Nikon didn't create a new designation for the groove-mounted hoods and chose to sort them under bayonet-mount.
The HB-34 is for the non-VR 55-200
This is one problem where a trip to a local camera store would be the best option. Assuming of course that there's one nearby and also assuming that they're a full line Nikon dealer.

If it says AF-S and isn't this one http://www.photosynt.../dx1855vrii.png, it can use the HB-45. If it is the version in the link, it uses the HB-69.
