Koko Head (on the left) is an extinct volcano located on the Island of Oahu, near Hawaii Kai. In 1946 on April fools day at about 6:30 in the morning the Davis family who had a house down near the waters edge had their lives turned upside down by a Tsunami. A series of nine wave spawned by a earthquake in Alaska was coming ashore and in the span of an hour or less their home and all their possessions were destroyed. Luckily they escaped as the first wave described as being like a super high tide gave the family enough warning that worse was coming. In the end all of it was washed away.
