I found this in looking for a attachment for a D3400 to do timed photography for another user.  I really like what I see and am interested in it but is it too good to be true or does it live up to the hype?  I was hoping that someone on the forums has already bought this and given it a tryout already.

Estimated delivery in September... As this was a kickstarter project, I wouldn't be surprised if there are delays.

I was kinda hoping that with over 35000 of these shipped out already someone here would have one and be willing to give an honest review.

I had an order, to use this on my Sony's. But looking at the feedback (in the Facebook group) from those who have their hands on it, I quickly cancelled it before it was too late.

I have a D3400 and I just got my Arsensal this week.  I just started playing around with it and so far it has some pretty cool features.  It essentially takes the guess work out of getting your camera settings just right.  I want to get out and really test it over the weekend and see what it can do.

Great, will be interested in what you have to say about it.

It has several modes; one of which is what they call Smart mode and that's the one that does all the magic. Right now I can't get that mode to actually function and take a picture. I just keep getting an error. I've contacted support and hopefully I'll hear back soon. So far it's cool but I need the Smart mode working before I can really unlock the true power of it. Stay tuned.

Received my Arsenal this week for my D850. At first, it took about 4 attemps to update the firmware before success. Then, when I tried to use it in single shot Smart Mode, it would focus, but then say 'camera error'. Later that day I tried again, and it worked fine. I have say it does get a good WB setting and produce good image. My problem now is when using a mode with multi exposures like exposure bracketing (HDR) or long exposure mode which simulates a long exposure by taking multiple shots and combining, Arsenal is supposed to assemble the final shot and then write a DNG file to your cameras card. This just isn't happening, even though I get a preview of the final image via the app on my phone. Have now threatened to return it for a full refund. Not only because it's not doing everything, but I find their 'support' too slow to respond.

Hey all, I have been testing Arsenal now for a few weeks and I have to say that my own photos are coming out better than the photos taken by Arsenal. I must admit i am not a novice at photography but I am not a pro either. I reckon this is more a beginner aide and will help anyone who is just starting. I backed this project for that reason but I hope it does not stop beginners from learning all the techniques and working things out themselves. Arenal is great if you are not going into photography seriously, but believe me, you can do better without it if you know what you are doing.
