...or "scenes from a weekend at the lake".  Think of these as street photos on the water.  I don't know any of the people except in #5 - my grandson.  I use my lake time to work on panning, try different exposure settings, etc.  Any subject that wanders close enough to our boat is fair game...   :)

All taken while on a boat rocking in the waves with the D500 and Tamron 150-600.

Sorry - I republished to Flickr and broke all the links.  Reposting a few.

Very well done on the "Big Brawler".

Maybe next time you should be on that miniature helicopter... ;-)

Thanks!

This weekend was the first time I had seen the "boatpix.com" helicopter.  I looked them up.  Apparently they are based in Florida so these guys were a long way from home.  They have an interesting business model - you fill out a form on their web site with your boat info and they send you prints of all the photos with your boat.  You pay for what you want to keep plus $25 shipping fee and send the rest back.  They do not show pricing on the web site so I don't know how much the prints cost.  I do not plan to find out, either.  I have enough boatpix to last me for awhile.   :)

It is probably some sort of franchise and they likely only fly when they have an order...I would think the price would be fairly high to cover the flight in addition to making a few dollars.  Or maybe they shoot their order and then take a bunch of other boats that they will try to market to using their registration #?  It would be interesting to learn their business model even though I have no interest in doing it :)!
