Hi. Yesterday an interessting storry happend with me. Few month ago I wrote in one magazine (I will not post here it's name yet) an article (text and photos in jpg) about my hick on Elbrus. They said that article is good and they will print it in october's issue. In october I wrote them and they answered me that my article was moved in novemeber's issue.

Yesterday I entered their sight and saw my photo on the main page. I clicked it and found an article with my photos... Photos were mine, but article wasn't mine, an author of photos and article was some guy that I don't know.

So I wrote them, I created a theme in their group about Copyright Infringement, and wrote to one guy that works in this magazine. Today I got an answer that it was a mistake. Today mistake was corrected. Now I find on theire sight an article with other photos, but when I asked about my article they answered that it was moved in december's issue.

How do you think should I wait to december?

What can I do in such situation?

Is raw file a proof that photo is mine?

How can I protect my photos in such situation?

I would recommend contacting and retaining legal representation where you are at.

Wow, I have no advice but good luck.  Very poor form for a magazine.

I thoght about it, but now they corrected theire mistake. Of course I have screenshots and saved copyes of those page, but I really believe that it was a mistake.

So now I decided that December is a deadline. If they will not print my article I will try to find another magazine.

I still intresting in your answers on three last questions:

1) What can I do in such situation?
2) Is raw file a proof that photo is mine?
3) How can I protect my photos in such situation?

Especially the second question. If you know something please write here about it.
